The Met Office provide detailed forecasts including specific information about what to expect at the summit. It is highly recommended that you check the forecast before any climb as the weather can change very quickly and will almost certainly be different at the top than it is at the bottom.

If the forecast isn’t great and you are inexperienced, contact the local tourist information office for advice as to whether it it is safe to climb or not. You could also consider hiring a mountain guide or simply leave it until another day.
